As of 17 February 2024, the EU Regulation 2022/2065 on a single market for digital services and amending Directive 2000/31/EC (the “Digital Services Act”, in the following referred to as DSA) will also apply to the InterNations services.
The main goal of the DSA is to add transparency and make the internet a safer place for users in Europe.
This means that we as a service provider must include certain content in our General Terms & Conditions.
This includes being transparent about any limitations on the content users may provide on the service, details of any policies, procedures, and tools we use for content moderation (including automated technical tools and human review), as well as the details on the complaints-handling system.
We also outlined our process for handling misuse of our service or its reporting procedures and internal complaint-handling systems. In accordance with the DSA, we also added information about our recommendation and referral systems.
